Wake Up, Sunshine

Remember when I said I wasn't sleeping all that great? Well that usually results in looking (and feeling) tired all day. And while I can't do much about the feeling tired all day, aside from trying to get more sleeping and amping up the caffeine and water intake, I came across this handy tip and  can do something about the looking tired.

To fake well-rested eyes, use blue eyeliner. It'll make your eyes pop! I don't own blue eyeliner, so I used a thin line of blue eyeshadow on my upper lash line, and boy, does it work! I looked instantly more awake - pretty awesome deal, if I say so myself.

In other news, I'm home for the weekend, and I'm pretty excited about it. My brother and his wifey are in town for her sister's bridal shower, which is tomorrow night (my dress is damn hot, by the way haha) It'll be nice to spend some time with them, even though this weekend is going to be a little crazy :)

And on that note, I've gotta go spend some quality time con la familia. Adios!

I Wish Life Had a Rewind Button

Remember when we were young and nothing mattered? Everything was so easy and simple, there were no worries, no drama, nothing. I wish I could go back to that. I've been in kind of a funky mood lately - too much going on in my life, and it feels suffocating. I just need a break from everything. I think my trouble sleeping is also related to my funky mood. I can fall asleep just fine, its the staying asleep I'm having trouble with, so I'm constantly tired all the time. I wake up feeling like I could sleep alllllll day. Although at this point, I've just gotten used to it. Probably not healthy for me, but whatever. I really wish I could get out of Michigan and go somewhere, by myself, just to breathe and get away from everything for a while. Sadly, with brown parents, that's not even an option. Ahhh well whatever. Hopefully it'll all blow over soon.

Okay, rant over. In other, happier, news: Nishat spent the week/weekend in Ann Arbor with me :D Good times making 1am Meijer trips, watching Supernatural, and playing Mario Kart/Super Smash Brothers until the weeee hours of the morning! It was a pretty awesome weekend, if I do say so myself.

Hello, Blog

I've decided to jump on the blog bandwagon after Peej's insistence that I get one. I don't know what I'm going to do with this quite yet, but don't expect much. If you haven't noticed already, I don't have a very exciting life :P
